Terms of Use
The short version: Writa is yours to use, your writing is yours to keep, and subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play.
The license
If you downloaded Writa from the Apple App Store, your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If you downloaded it from Google Play, it is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service. These pages add the details specific to Writa.
Your writing
Everything you write in Writa belongs to you. It is stored on your device and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud or Google account. We don't receive, read or claim any rights to it. Please keep your own backups of anything important. Exporting your sheets regularly is an easy way to do that.
Writa Pro
- Writa Pro is a 1-year auto-renewing subscription that removes ads and unlocks the Pro app icon on iPhone and iPad.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- It renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep Writa Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Ads
The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob. How ad data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Please don't use Writa to break the law or to infringe anyone else's rights, and don't try to reverse engineer, disrupt or misuse the app or the services it relies on.
No warranty
We work hard to make Writa reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for lost data or indirect damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Changes
If we update these terms, we'll change the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app.
